Introduction

Hey everyone!  This is my first blog post on The Farm Worx site and I wanted to start off by giving a little background information about myself and our farm.  I will also be discussing the reason why I decided to create this blog and what I hope to get out of it.

My name is Sam Krueger.  I am married to a wonderful woman named Megan and we live near Blue Hill, Nebraska (South Central Nebraska).  We work beside my mom and dad, Barb and Paul and my brother and his wife, Jared and Sami.

I graduated from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska with a degree in Ag Business.  I also wrestled while in college and really appreciate the values that sport has instilled in me from just a youngster.  I have recently completed the Nebraska LEAD Program which has had a great impact on my career in agriculture.

On our family farm we farm around 4,000 acres of corn and soybeans.  We are 100% no-till and our fertilizer of choice is anhydrous ammonia but we also apply liquid fertilizer.  We run 30 inch rows and use John Deere equipment.  Summer time is very busy irrigating.

The reason for putting this blog together is simple.  I want to help farmers collaborate together and help make farms more productive.  As a farmer, I know I can learn plenty from hearing how other farms do thing.
